Banjo Patterson’s Cottage, Sydney

Chloe & Matt were married in September 2017 at the historic Banjo Patterson’s Cottage in Sydney. Unpretentious and socially aware, this couple wanted a wedding that reflected their own personalities. Wild Australian natives and simple rustic styling told the story of university mates who grew into lovers.

The ceremony

Held at sunset in the gardens on site, this magical stage was set to frame the harbour backdrop. Using a mix of venue and dark timber bentwood chairs, mismatched persian rugs, Moroccan lanterns and rustic timber accents set against a floral and greenery adorned arch – its beauty still gives us chills!

The reception

The rustic organic vibe continued into the cottage itself, with mixed shape tables and simple white linen adorned with full greenery runners and simple gold tealight candles.

Sometimes less really is more…

We couldn’t more highly recommend The Chosen One. Not only were they able to create a fantastic atmosphere that we loved, but they were also able to keep us focused and organised. On the day they did a fantastic job of setting everything up under pressure and pulled off a very memorable day for us both.
